This Mongolian tour explores Ulaanbaatar's cultural landmarks, the historic sites of Kharkhorin and Erdene Zuu Monastery, immersive nomadic experiences, camel rides in the desert, wildlife in Hustai National Park, and the iconic Genghis Khan statue.

Itinerary

DAY 01: DEPART FROM MANILA

Departure Manila, aboard your flight, enjoy inflight amenities, meals and intertainment.

 

DAY 02: ULAANBAATAR, MONGOLIA – HALF DAY CITY TOUR (L,D)

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the city. After lunch, begin your exploration with a visit to the Gandan Monastery, Mongolia’s largest active Buddhist monastery. Experience the daily rituals of monks and see the impressive 26-meter-high gilded statue of Migjid Janraisig. Continue to the National Museum of Mongolia for an overview of the country's history, from nomadic life to religious relics. Visit Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of the city, with its iconic statues of Sukhbaatar and Genghis Khan, before checking in to your hotel.

 

DAY 03: KHARKHORIN & ERDENE ZUU BUDDHIST MONASTERY (B, L, D)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Kharkhorin, the former capital of the Mongol Empire. Explore the Erdene Zuu Monastery, a UNESCO-listed site with 108 stupas, and learn about its historical significance. Discover the local market and museum, showcasing the ancient city’s artifacts and role as a key trading hub along the Silk Road. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a tourist Ger camp.

 

DAY 04: ELSEN TASARKHAI SAND DUNES (B, L, D)

Start the day with a visit to Erdene Zuu Monastery, listening to monks chant Buddhist sutras in the 16th-century complex. Then, head towards the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes, a stunning desert landscape surrounded by hills, willows, and streams. Visit a local camel herder family and learn about their nomadic lifestyle. Enjoy a unique camel ride across the dunes on a Bactrian camel, a gentle animal native to Mongolia, before overnighting in a tourist Ger camp.

 

DAY 05: HUSTAI NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)

Drive to Hustai National Park, home to the endangered wild horses, the Takhi. Take a short hike and enjoy the chance to see these rare animals in the wild, along with other wildlife, before staying overnight in a Ger camp.

 

DAY 06: MONGOL NOMADIC SHOW (B, L, D)

Drive to a Mongol Nomadic Ger camp for an immersive cultural experience. Watch a live demonstration of traditional Mongolian nomadic life, including the use of livestock and transport methods such as yak and camel carts.

 

DAY 07: TERELJ NATIONAL PARK & HORSE RIDING (B, L, D)

Explore Terelj National Park, known for its stunning rock formations and natural beauty. Visit Turtle Rock and the Ariyabal meditation temple before enjoying a horse ride through the park, one of Mongolia's most famous horseback riding destinations.

 

DAY 08: GENGHIS KHAN’S STATUE COMPLEX – ULAANBAATAR (B, L, D)

Visit the colossal Genghis Khan statue, the world’s largest equestrian statue, and enjoy panoramic views from its head. After lunch, explore the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum and attend a cultural performance featuring traditional Mongolian music and dance before returning to Ulaanbaatar.

 

DAY 09: DEPARTURE – MANILA (B)

After breakfast, spend your final morning at leisure, relaxing or exploring Ulaanbaatar before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight back home.
